Abstract

Insulation workers apply insulation materials on objects and buildings for thermal insulation and/or waterproofing. They are frequently outdoor workers and they are exposed to insulation materials, especially mineral fibers, foams, adhesives, and bitumen. An increased risk for the following occupational skin diseases may be expected: irritant and allergic contact dermatitis, and skin cancer.
